Queen Esther
Esther 1:1-2
Once upon a time, in the ancient kingdom of Persia, a captivating story of bravery, trust, and hope unfolded. It was about 400 years before the birth of Jesus, and the land was ruled by a powerful king named Xerxes.
Esther 2:7
In the bustling city of Susa, there lived a beautiful young woman named Esther. She was an orphan, raised by her kind and wise uncle Mordecai. Together, they were part of a close-knit Jewish community that thrived despite being far from their homeland.
Esther 1:1-2
King Xerxes was a mighty ruler whose empire stretched from India to Ethiopia. When it was time for him to choose a new queen, he decided to hold a grand contest, inviting young women from all over his kingdom to take part.
Esther 2:15-18
Esther, with her grace and humility, caught the king's eye. She was chosen to be the new queen, guided by God's providence every step of the way. With her new position came great responsibility, as she would soon find out.
Esther 3:1-6
Haman, the king's ambitious and cunning advisor, despised Mordecai and the Jewish people. He devised a wicked plan to exterminate them all, unaware that Queen Esther and Mordecai were part of the very people he sought to destroy.
Esther 4:1-17
When Esther learned of Haman's evil plan, her heart ached for her people. She knew she had to act, but approaching the king without being summoned could cost her life. With great courage, she resolved to intercede on behalf of her people, trusting God to guide her.
Esther 4:16
Esther asked Mordecai to gather the Jewish community for a three-day fast. Together, they would pray for God's guidance and protection. Even though she was afraid, Esther prepared herself to approach the king, knowing that God was with her.
Esther 4:16; 5:1-8
With great bravery, Esther went before King Xerxes, dressed in her royal robes. She invited him and Haman to a special banquet, where she would reveal the truth about Haman's evil plan and plead for her people's lives.
Part 9: Esther's Faithful Decision (Esther 7:1-10)
At the banquet, Esther bravely exposed Haman's wicked scheme and begged the king to spare her people. Moved by her courage, King Xerxes ordered Haman to be executed, and the Jewish people were saved from destruction.
Esther 9:1-32; 10:1-3
Through Esther's trust in God's plan and her unwavering bravery, the Jewish people were delivered from the hands of their enemies. The story of Esther reminds us that God is always with us, each and every day.
